⚙️ Daemon Kernel Builder

Automated Arch Linux Kernel Build Pipeline with BORE CPU Scheduler

Arch Linux Kernel Scheduler CI/CD License Maintained

A cloud-native, continuous kernel compilation matrix engineered for Arch Linux. Incorporates the BORE CPU scheduler, 1000 Hz low-latency desktop preemption, and target architecture microcode tuning.

⚡ Architecture & Kernel Optimizations

  • 🧠 BORE (Burst-Oriented Response Enhancer) Scheduler: Dynamically manages CPU burst times to guarantee responsive desktop multitasking and stutter-free audio/video playback under heavy compilation loads.
  • ⏱️ 1000 Hz Low-Latency Timer (CONFIG_HZ_1000=y): Four-fold increase over stock kernel tick-rate for responsive input latency and gaming frames.
  • ⚡ Full Desktop Preemption (CONFIG_PREEMPT=y): Minimizes kernel dispatch latency for interactive GUI tasks and Wayland window managers.
  • 💾 Memory Optimization (LZ4 ZSWAP): Pre-configured LZ4 compressed swap in RAM to maximize efficiency on constrained memory architectures.
  • ☁️ Cloud Build Pipeline: Fully automated via GitHub Actions — compiles binary .pkg.tar.zst packages in headless runner environments and deploys automated GitHub Releases.

🚀 Installation on Arch Linux

You can directly install the pre-compiled binary packages via pacman:

Update Bootloader

After installing, regenerate your initramfs and update your bootloader configuration:

# Regenerate initramfs
sudo mkinitcpio -p linux-daemon-llano

# Update GRUB (if applicable)
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
