Why the italic is slanted at 9 degree? I feel that it's too upright. #142

Why is the italic font of this typeface slanted at 9 degree? I feel that it's too upright as many italic monospace fonts slant more such as:

  1. Italic fonts of Cascadia Code/Mono slants at 10 degrees
  2. Italic fonts of Monaspace typefaces and Liberation typefaces slant at 11 degrees
  3. Italic fonts of Geist typefaces, Atkinson Hyperlegible (both Mono and Next) and Red Hat Mono slant at 12 degrees
  4. Italic fonts of Intel One Mono slant at whopping 16 degrees
    etc.

To be absolutely fair there is some italic monospace fonts with less slant but I only know just two:

  1. Italic fonts of Spline Sans Mono slant at 7 degrees
  2. Italic fonts of Twilio Sans Mono slant at 8 degrees

I've read some of the issues filed in this repository and I saw that the bold italic font is currently planned but not yet being created. Can I propose that when the bold italic font get created, it'd get created along with the modified italic font to make it more slant than it currently is?
