♡ A big inspiration for MarsHSim's future greenhouse actually comes from a hydroponic setup my friend Joe built years ago using clay balls, a massive fish tank, grow lights, and plants positioned at different heights. It was one perfect interconnected system and it was really cool to see in person. |

Small MarsHSim update: The greenhouse system is now integrated instead of just existing as a concept, which is really cool. I'm continuing to refine the hydroponic greenhouse layout idea with the spiral helix/hive concept because I really wanted to make the most out of the available space for long term survival. I also added a pretty basic In Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) system for water extraction. I pictured heated retractable pipes that siphon up frozen Mars water every so often, then retract again to help avoid freezing and other environmental factors. A lot of my recent work has shifted toward subsystem interaction and file cleanup instead of just adding new features. My current focus is mostly testing, balancing constants, improving subsystem stability, and working through my todo list. I appreciate everyone following along with this project so far. ♡ |

Hi! Thanks for checking out my early stage Mars habitat ECLSS (environmental control and life support simulator).
Here you can ask me questions, share feedback or suggestions (this is always appreciated), and also share your own thoughts on colonization or anything else you feel like sharing.
All input is welcome, even if it's just a little comment.
Current status: V1 in active development. Core atmosphere gas loop running, and adding temperature management next.
