Weather Overlay Not Working?

Able to parameterize and place weather overlay in the overlay editor but it never shows up in the screensaver regardless of placement location. Time, date and location overlays working as expected.

Just remove the ", Al" and it will work. Openweather will tend to interpret 2 letter code as countries before US states.

I need a better error message in any case !

It now displays the correct information in the overlay editor but is still not displayed in either the system settings dialog screensaver preview or the full screensaver. 2 screen config and the weather behavior is the same on both.

Ha I see, there is a bug where it sometimes gets stuck on the wrong config, but that's usually not in that mode.

Try this for a quick fix :

• Close the app (bottom right button in the menu)
• Delete /Users/Shared/Aerial/overlay-config.json
• Restart the app and reconfigure your overlays

I'll try to fix that as soon as possible. Let me know if that fixes it for you in the meantime !

One other note. Seems like Ariel used to pick up whatever was shown in the now playing field of the control panel but the latest version requires the explicit inclusion of the now playing source (Apple or Spotify). If this explicit approach is now necessary, could Safari be added to the list so that YouTube, Pandora etc. can also enjoy the now playing feature?

Apple blocked the way I used to do things, it kinda works in the old system (but not perfectly) because we were ran "by" an Apple signed component that could bypass that restriction. But that has started failing recently too in Tahoe. Right now I need to add apps one by one, Safari I'm not sure I can. Maybe we'll get some good news next week at WWDC and Apple will finally give us a way to get that info again.
