Bug: Sent checks that I definitely didn't do in wind waker

What happened?

I was farming rupees in Wind Waker. I had completed some checks before. When exiting the room I was farming in for the n-th time, I sent four checks to my friends that I didn't do in the seed. No one has completed the seed yet. It is the only wind waker seed I have on my PC right now and I was definitely connected before and after I sent those checks that I didn't do.

What were the expected results?

I should not have sent those checks.

Those checks are really far from each other and I sent them instantly. I doubt another person connected on the seed on my slot by accident and did all those checks while my friend was doing two checks in DK64.

I remember getting this bug a few months ago when I played solo. I entered Lenzo's house from the top, then the Windfall Island - Lenzo's House - Right Chest location got sent after the scene was loaded.

Had you played another seed before that? For me, I had played another seed two days ealier, but I completed it, deleted the save file from the game and deleted the old rom.

I only played two Wind Waker randos ever and they were months apart. I delete everything from a seed once it's completed. To actually answer your question, I played a solo seed before the one I had the bug occuring.

@tanjo3 Is this something you've seen reported before or have ideas about cause?

I would guess that the player either open another save file by accident or loaded a save state (of a different save file) by accident. They mentioned deleting their old save file, so it could be a save state thing. Also, if any codes or cheats are active in Dolphin, then anything is possible. Considering the report said they stepped outside and a bunch of outdoor checks sent (all those checks are on the same stage), I would guess loading a state of a different save by accident is the likely answer.

I have no save state on this emulator (using dolphin). If I loaded a save state I would have been teleported to the other place no? I have no hypothesis to bring sorry ahaha.

To provide additional context, I never use save states, codes, or cheats. Maybe I forgot to delete the save in Dolphin's saves folder now that I think about it. On my second seed, I think I remember seeing an already existing save file, which I believe was from my first seed. Although, knowing myself, there's no way I played on that one. I played on another save file, but I don't remember if I deleted the first one. It's been months however, so I don't exactly remember.

Just the same as @G4M3RL1F3 , I don't use save states. I am currently playing the same seed and when connecting, I just completed a check that I definitly didnt do.

I have not save state:
