CPU leak (constant 200% usage)

It seems that about 200% CPU is burned all the time (2*100% threads) while Maxima is running, tested by 2 people and on both debug and release builds (Linux).

Im guessing you are talking about the UI, since the CLI does not do that ...

the UI rendering isn't particularly efficient, however it shouldn't be burning two whole cores, especially idle. might be something to do with the UI's background threads, and the way they loop. i can look into it when i get back from this business trip, but the responsible threads live in maxima-ui/src/bridge_thread.rs, maxima-ui/src/event_thread.rs, and maxima-ui/src/ui_image.rs
