Import rejected: wrong size or write failed

When I try to import my bk.n64.us.1.0.bin, I get a 'Import rejected: wrong size or write failed' error. The file is 2.048 bytes (2 kb), which is 0x800 bytes. I have tried playing around with all of the options, but it won't accept my save.

It worked after loading the ROM first.
