Setup TERM

The TERM environment variable is not set up, despite a comment in the source instructing the user to do this. As a result, some terminfo-using programs are not working properly. I have asked at https://github.com/qterminal/qtermwidget/issues/12 what the correct terminfo string is for their version of the code (which seems to be newer than the sourceforce source).

https://github.com/qterminal/qtermwidget/issues/12#issuecomment-25754829 says he uses xterm-256color, which works for me except that the arrow keys do not work in that mode. So perhaps we should change what the arrow keys emit and then make this the default TERM setting?
