I was setting up BeamMP with help and we were going through the "Installing BeamMP" documentation however were having trouble getting BeamMP to launch via Steam with Proton using the launch options as described in 2c. Using beamNG.drive with Proton.
It turns out the file paths at least for me (Fedora 44 KDE) when compared to the documentation needed an extra subdirectory.
e.g. .../drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/BeamNG.drive was actually .../drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/BeamNG/BeamNG.drive. The same path tweak was required for the Linux side as well, so I had to symlink to ~/.local/share/BeamNG.
With the subdirectory added to both paths, everything is working perfectly.
Just wanted to share in case something was missed in the documentation or even just for reference if it's just platform specific.
