No archiving in subdirectories anymore

Since several months, my emails are archived, but not in the responding subdirectories. My archive is in my GMAIL-Account. Even if I create the subdirectory, the emails are stored in the main Archive-directory. First I thought, the subdirectories have a space in the name, but this is not the reason. Do you have an idea, what I made wrong?

Did you check the Thunderbird Archive settings?
Right click on account -> Properties -> copy & folder -> archive options
There is a setting for building the folder structure in the archive.

Hello Brummolix, thanks for your responce!
I checked it, but the Archive-Option is greyed (disabled) if I use my Google-Gmail-Account for my archiving. If I choose my local directory or the directory of my standard-mail-account, the option is enabled and I can choose to use the folder structure. So it seams the reason is at Google-Gmail???
But manually, I can move the folder from my account to the Google-Gmail-account. Do you have any idea for the reason? But now I am sure, it is not your archive-add-on. The reason must be at google-Gmail.
