Is this setup Notebook/Laptop -> TonexOneController -> TonexOne possible?

Hi,
is it possible to have the following setup:
Notebook/Laptop -- (USB) --> TonexOneController -- (USB) --> ToneX One pedal
I would want to run e.g. Gig Performer software which sends MIDI PC commands to the Controller to select a specific patch for a specific song or song part. The MIDI PC command would then be bridged through to ToneX One pedal.

This is possible, but it would require a USB to Midi adaptor cable, and Midi serial board for the controller.
The tonex controller can't directly connect to both the Tonex One and a PC via USB at the same time.

It could also be achieved using Bluetooth, by putting the Controller into central mode and connecting the PC to it.

thanks for feedback. USB is then not a real option.
I want to stay wired in my setup. I thought about it again and I see that you describe this wired MIDI feature using a MIDI FeatherWing kit.

If I am not mistaken, your software already support it as a MIDI output (as you use the TX pin)?

Assuming you would/could adapt/extend your software to use the MIDI input of FeatherWing to receive Midi commands (instead of using Bluetooth in central mode), would a setup below work with reasonable coding effort for you?

PC --> MIDI out -> [MIDI-IN socket] of FeatherWing - Rx pin --> Waveshare Zero -- (USB) -> ToneX One

In my setup, the PC is already connected to an Audio Interface which features also MIDI out.
Gig Performer (or any DAW) can generate MIDI commands and I can easily route them to the Audio Interface MIDI out.

Hi. The controller supports Wired Midi input right now via the Featherwing.
I have allocated the TX output also, but there is currently no code behind it.

"PC --> MIDI out -> [MIDI-IN socket] of FeatherWing - Rx pin --> Waveshare Zero -- (USB) -> ToneX One" is already supported right now.
One of my test cases it to do exactly this, via using a CME USB to Midi output cable on a PC, which then feeds into the Featherwing.

I see now that you are actually supporting what I am after.

I got confused as you call the pin used on the FeatherWing board by "TX" in the documentation.
I am referring to the 2nd figure in your Wired-MIDI section

Hence, I previously thought you send MIDI commands out using the MIDI Out socket for whatever reason.
I just checked the schematics of FeatherWing and that pin (no. 14) is actually a MIDI_RX pin (as desired)

So, wired MIDI input is already in place as you said.

The whole TX/RX thing depends upon how you think about it. Whether it refers to the persepective of the first device or the second device.
I probably labelled it as TX as on that feather wing board, it is a transmit out, that connects to the ESP32 controller RX input.

Great that it already does what you need.
