When the Tonex pedal came out I thought about getting one but wasn't ready to spend $400. When the Tonex One came out I was ready to pull the trigger, but users with both units warned me that only 2-3 presets would be useful. Gregg's project here changed that. It's great not only to be able to quickly go to any of the 20 presets but also to be able to adjust the settings while playing with a band. If you have Paypal it takes just a minute to support the developer, the link is at the bottom of the main page here.

@pwaugh - I was using the press main button/alt button (purple Alt LED) and spin the treble to go through all the presets. I even redid the lights for each preset to align them:

Light green - clean
Bright green - light overdrive
Light yellow - crunch
Bright yellow - distortion
Light red - clean (and so on)......

@pwaugh - agree on low need for switching sounds while performing. I can't think of song that would require a mid-song change beyond engaging overdrive. A lot of this is about finding something that works on the Tonex during rehearsal. |

I can think of some songs that would need a mid-song amp change. Metallica for example. Some songs use a Roland jazz chorus for clean parts and then change to Mesa for distorted. |

OK yes they don't do a physical amp change, but they change presets on the AxeFX 3 with each preset using a different amp model. |
