We currently assume a fresh install, and we can't cover every possible weird existing installation, but some common cases could be described. E.g.
- switching from stable to beta or vice-versa
- upgrading the backend package
- upgrading the frontend package
- upgrading the controller
- switching from system packages for node / npm to nodesource (cleaning up old stuff in
/usr/local)
