I am currently working on simulating an AC–DC microgrid. For interfacing the AC and DC systems, I am using VSCShunt. From the ANDES manual, I understand that VSCShunt is static: it only participates in the initial power flow calculation, and the control mode can be selected. However, it does not take part in the time-domain simulation (TDS).
I am interested in whether there are plans for future upgrades that would allow VSCShunt to participate in both power flow and TDS.
Additionally, in a system with AC–DC–AC configuration, VSCShunt isolates the two AC systems. In this case, I need to define a slack bus for each AC system. Is there any way to declare a single slack bus for both AC systems if they are not directly connected through AC lines?
