Errno 13 Permission Denied: '/usr/local/share/jupyter'

After installing a Kernel Spec on Jupyter I have been trying to install system-wide with: IRkernel::installspec(user = FALSE) however, when I do I get [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/usr/local/share/jupyter'
Perhaps you want to install with sudo or --user?. Any suggestions for fixing this on OS?
