Problem
Currently, the login interface appears as a popup modal over the dashboard. This makes the UI feel cluttered and distracting, as users can still see the background content while signing in. The popup layout also provides limited space for a polished and responsive design.
Proposed Improvement
Replace the current popup-based login form with a dedicated authentication page. Design a modern, clean, and responsive login screen with better spacing, typography, and visual hierarchy. The page should support both light and dark themes and provide a smoother user experience.
Why improvement is needed
A separate login page will create a better first impression, improve readability, reduce distractions, and provide a more professional and user-friendly authentication experience across different devices.
Expected Result
- Login no longer appears as a popup modal.
- Users are redirected to a dedicated login page.
- Improved layout, spacing, and responsiveness.
- Better visual design with support for light/dark mode.
- More polished and intuitive authentication experience.
Alternatives Considered
Keeping the modal and improving its styling was considered, but a dedicated page offers more flexibility, better responsiveness, and a cleaner overall user experience.
Additional Context
Current login UI appears as a centered popup over the dashboard, which makes the interface feel cramped. A modern full-page authentication design would provide a cleaner and more professional appearance.

I would like to work on this enhancement as part of GSSoC 2026. I am interested in improving the UI/UX of the authentication flow and would be happy to implement a modern, responsive login page that aligns with the overall design of StudyPlan.
