Poor performance on iOS11

the component has poor performance when loading very large address book (1000+ contacts).
Is there a workaround for this?

Just noticed that most of the methods used in this controller are deprecated.

yep, i ended up using the (buggy) iOS picker..

I seriously can't believe Apple hasn't fixed that thing yet.
