Could be possible, I do however like the grid system that the floorplan has. And cables will make it messy very quickly.

I can however find a way to make cables snap to the grid, or allow for cabels to just ignore the grid logic entirely.

I will take a look into this!

It's very easy to make the plugin use existing cable connections, that's what the topology map does.

Yes, the topology map perfectly shows the logical connections of cable connections (which is what I use)!
But our installers liked the idea of ​​using a netbox to view the physical location of cables on a floor/room plan (they would be very happy about this). ;-).
And along the way, a question.
Is it possible on the floor plans/topology map, if there is a netbox-ping plugin, to display the Ping button and ping devices located on the map (using the name or IP address)?
We have places with unmanaged switches, and this way we could quickly resolve the problems of their inoperability.
