Question from a database guy

Hey DiddiZ,

I am a database guy who manages a development team for a really big domain name registrar (whoa daddy, is that too clear?). :) Anyway, I am in no way anything resembling a good PHP programmer (nor do I play one on TV).

Having said that, I coach a high school cyberdefense team, and this summer I've been teaching them some PHP, as best I can. I've wanted to give them a real-world example to work on. I also run a Minecraft server with about 45 active players, so LogBlockWebStats could be perfect because of its small size and the fact that the students could work on a project that some of their friends would actually use.

So my question for you is this: is there any feature you want added to this project? I see a request for a Hawkeye-style query interface - is that the best target?

At least the interface is highly desired by the community :D

I think it would be great as project, as, despite the basic lookups, you can build in features like a list of last active players to easily get the name if you are looking. I mean features that fairly easy to code but add a devent improvement to the whole.

I don't know if you want to cover JavaScript and AJAX, but those would also easily find application.

Especially the sum commands require complex queries and highly profit from indices, so there's also a real world example for MySQL optimizations.
