I've been working through my first filament calibration with the PerfectFit calibration tool. I've gotten to the point where I ran the pressure advance test and got a value of 0.020. But there doesn't appear to be any way to enter the K value directly into the filament settings.
I know Orca Slicer does allow the K factor to be entered directly into the filament settings.
I think I can enter the K value directly into the filament settings using G code. From what I can find online it looks like the G code is entered in to the Filament Start G Code like this:
M901 K , where value in my case would be 0.020.
But I'm new to 3d printing and was hoping to simply follow Perfect Fit for 3rd party filament calibration.
Am I reading the PerfectFit instructions wrong? Could you explain in detail how to enter the K value for a filament that I'm trying to calibrate?
p.s. This tool is incredibly nice. I searched and searched for a step by step guide to get a proper third party filament calibration for Bambu Studio but could not find anything worthwhile until I happened upon this tool. I would prefer to use Orca Slicer, but it seems everytime I open a file that I downloaded from Makerworld I get warnings about incompatibility between versions as well as live view sometimes does not work.
Anyways - thank you in advance.
