I have a question about the recommended workflow in the latest DDVT v0.74.
I have an original Dolby Vision Profile 7 MKV and a Profile 8.1 RPU.bin created for that exact video.
When using DDVT_INJECTOR, do I need to manually demux the Profile 7 video and extract the HDR10 Base Layer (BL.hevc) before injecting the RPU?
Or can I simply load the original Profile 7 MKV directly into DDVT_INJECTOR and let DDVT automatically use/extract the Base Layer internally while injecting the Profile 8.1 RPU?
In other words, in the latest DDVT v0.74, is the recommended workflow:
Profile 7 MKV → manual BL demux → inject RPU, or
Profile 7 MKV → inject RPU directly (DDVT automatically handles the Base Layer internally)?
Which method is technically correct and recommended by the developer?
