As I think one of the most common errors I see in dataset abstracts is copying in a lot of information from a paper (analyses, results, conclusions). I think we should add some emphasis "High priority metadata" adding bold or italics to try to get this message across. Suggest:
"The abstract should be about the data, not the paper the data were used in."
and reiterating the same information under methods by editing this sentence:
"Methods metadata should include detailed descriptions of sampling and experimental design, data collection procedures, quality assurance and control procedures, and any analysis or post-processing as they apply to interpreting and using the data."

"Methods metadata should include detailed descriptions of sampling and experimental design, data collection procedures, quality assurance and control procedures, and post-processing that was done to create the published dataset. Note that subsequent statistical analyses that were conducted on the published dataset as part of a publication do not belong in the methods element of a dataset"
