There have been several lighting engines in MV already, but they are all limited by the original CoreEngine codebase and occasionally being unambitious in their implementation.

A Stronk Lighting engine should be natively enabled, support fog of war and lighting occlusion, and be built to require as few draw calls as possible to provide an immersive experience.
