Turn off status message popup when scanning

I am talking about the message that appears in the bottom right of the editor when scanning.

There is a cog in the message that lets you turn off the message but the message often disappears so fast I can't open that menu and disable it. I had to add the root of my computer as the path in order to have the popup stay on screen long enough for me to disable it.

Where is the setting for this? It is very difficult to disable if your root path does not contain many files and folders, and also not good for accessibility.

@FanaticPythoner to be frank, I find this popup a bit annoying too!.. Do we need it at all? May be we could convert it into statusbar icon?

How would you guys prefer to see the progress of scanning then? I think it's important to have it... somewhere/represented somehow, and with the possibility to track status, especially for repos with millions of lines... Ideas?

I thought I saw an animated icon in the toolbar and only if you click on it, the popup appears. So, just do not show it by default...

Can't recall, what was that extension, unfortunately...

I agree with this. When opening a project, the editor is already flooded with popups from language servers and other extensions. Having a status bar indicator would be much cleaner, and if users want to see more details, they can just click the icon to show the popup.
