Since the junctions in 1.1 got introduced the mod makes it very hard to switch direction, because you are too fast.
we have this mod because we want fast, so not using the boost is not an option...
So my suggestion would be to add a brake to a adjustable speed which allows you to switch direction while being slow and adding a booster after the junction
Even better would be a whole hypertube system which allows you to set a destination when entering and the mod automatically turns the junctions right for you, kind of like the trains, but I imagine this being very very hard.
