    <h5>About us:</h5>
    <p>
      We are a group of final-year BSc Physics students at Durham University, and this project was completed as part of
      one of our modules. It was proposed by Dr Prakash Loganathan, consultant neonatologist at the James Cook
      University
      Hospital, Middlesbrough.
    </p>
    <p>
      Dr Loganathan works with neonatal patients who often require supplemental oxygen to be able to maintain their
      oxygen
      levels, and required a way to accurately calculate the fraction of inspired oxygen (FiO2) achieved using low-flow
      nasal
      cannula (LFNC).
    </p>
    <p>
      Hence, the main objective of this project was to return the best way to calculate effective FiO2 delivered by
      LFNC. This
      included comparing and validating the available methods and investigating the important variables. During the
      project we identified further objectives to include the production and validation of our own model and production
      of an accessible (simple to use, clear and concise) interface, which you are using now, through which the best
      method of
      calculating effective FiO2 can be calculated.
