Current Behavior

I am having trouble updating a variable with increments of 1.
I have a periodic action that every minute must increase the value of a status variable by 1 so that when it reaches a certain value, the session closes.
The problem is that sometimes, instead of increasing by 1, it adds more than 1, and instead of going from 1 to 2, it goes from 1 to 3 and from 3 to 5, etc.

In the attached video, you can see that I made the counter visible in the app so you can see how it increases.

This only happens when I do it from the periodic action. I tested increasing it manually with a button, and it works fine.

increase the value by one at a time
