Quick reply to group chat message only sends individual message

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Ensure "Send group messages as MMS" is on
2. Use the quick reply action on a group message notification

Expected behavior

The reply is sent to the group.

Actual behavior

Reply is sent as an individual chat with the sender rather than to the group chat. No other members recieve anything.

@naveensingh My apologies, I did find both of those issues and was going to mention them as possibly related, but I was in a rush and forgot.

Regardless, while this is similar, I don't think this should be closed yet as it's unclear whether it's the same or not. Neither of those issues explicitly state whether they were using the quick reply or if they were in-app, and the behavior regarding which contact it sends to also seems different.

In my case it only happens in the quick reply, while both #595 and #615 seem to imply the issue was happening in-app. In #595 it also always sends to the same number (not necessarily even in the group), where mine is always the sender of the group message. Possibly the same root cause, but the behavior is different.

I believe some clarification on those issues is needed to determine if this issue and/or #615 are duplicates or not. I can also do some further testing on my end, possibly try to recreate the experiment from the other thread if that helps.

Hi, I closed it as a duplicate based on correlation. These issues have started after a recent update and appear to have the same root cause.

That would help. I believe fixing those issues will also resolve this one, but I can reopen it if you are unable to reproduce the cases mentioned in those other issues.
