Periodic loss of USB ports - Desktop

I have lost both rear USB-C ports on four occasions. By lost I mean they disappear and cannot be accessed. I have a more verbose description on the Framework forum.

I have been able to gain access to them twice by reinstalling the Framework driver pack and twice reinstalling 3.04 BIOS as the software reinstall didn't fix the issue.

This could be hardware but equally could be driver or firmware. The next time it occurs I'll boot to linux to see if the ports accessible there and will report the result

From your descriptions it sounds like the rebooting temporarily fixes the issue, not installing drivers or BIOS?

What's the BIOS that you are running?

What kind of devices are you plugging in? Shokz dongle, what else?
