"Error has occured" when playing video

When playing a video in the YouTube Ad free app, i every time get an error stating: an error has occured, followed by a QR code (leading to the YouTube Help) and a button to try again. When clicking, the video starts again but the error occurs again. Errors can occur at random times during the video, but mostly within the first minute.

The app is installed via homebrew in developer mode, the webOS is not rooted.
YTAF version: 0.3.6
webOS version: 03.41.05

I am also experiencing the same issue today 13/2/2025. No issues yesterday.

I have updated to version 0.3.6 and this made no difference.

I pressed the green button on my remote and unticked all unblocking.

This made no difference

The issue did not occur during any adverts (1min long)

The issue appeared to be random, but it occurs around 26 or 28 seconds in to a video

And the same for a live stream.

(Untested) but the error might occur around similar timestamps through out a video

Changing location to south korea had no affect.

I commented on the wrong repository(?) but I think it might still be relevant

The same here.

Also with the original YouTube app from the LG
Store.

I tried with factory reset and the app from the LG store, same problem.

After that I tried to install the actual app from here and the same problem.

The Softwareversion is 03.41.05

The only option is to watch YouTube with the integrated web browser.
