Ability to add Steam Games to "MoonDeck" Category

Hello, thank you so much for this. I am currently using MoonDeck in conjunction with VibeShine, with great success!

I'm currently trying to "curate" my Steam Library by lumping all of my streamable Steam games, with streamable non-steam games. It's proving to be a little bit tricky. Curently, I use the MoonDeck category that is created when syncing non-steam apps via the plugin. This works perfectly, it syncs all of my host's non-steam game shortcuts. However, if I add a native steam game to the MoonDeck category, and then run the sync again, the manually added entry is wiped away.

What I'm after is one category in which ALL streamable games can be found (non-steam and steam games from host). Whether or not this feature needs to create separate instances for each steam game, is unclear (I think that would get too messy).

I don't really get the issue. All of the steam games would have to go into this category since they are all technically streamable 🤔.

All Steam and non-steam games that are installed on the host. Heres an example:

• I have 700+ native Steam and non-Steam games.
• 150 of them are installed on the host (135 native, 15 are non-steam shortcuts).
• The sync feature pulls in the 15 non-steam shortcuts into the MoonDeck category in the deck, great!
• The other 135 games are not conveniently accessible on the Deck without going through all 700+ games, finding the one I know is installed on the host, and then clicking the MoonDeck icon.
• Remote Play is disabled, because I use Vibeshine and Moonlight/MoonDeck, so the Steam Deck doesn’t “see” what games are streamable from the host.
• if I enable Remote Play, I can view what games are streamable from the host, but they are not grouped into the MoonDeck category, they pollute my other categories and make everything messy.

I simply want to be able to access all MoonDeck streamable games from a singular category.

Here’s the ideal view. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is installed on the host and is native to Steam. I manually added it to the MoonDeck category. Mouse P.I. Is installed on the host as a non-steam game.

Both games are in the same category and easily accessible. It’s clean and useful for people with massive libraries. The issue now is that if I sync MoonDeck library, it wipes out all the manually added entries.

Is there a way to implement a toggle option that allows MoonDeck category to contain all installed games on the host, instead of just non-Steam? Ideally without creating a separate/duplicate entry.

I see what you mean. At the very least I will make it so that MoonDeck category does not remove custom entries. I need to investigate how feasible it is to sync the installed games automatically though.

By the way, what’s the procedure for using nightly? Download latest nightly release .zip from GH, extract and overwrite plugin folder on SteamDeck? And install MoonBuddy 1.10 on the host instead of 1.9?

Buddy - yes
MoonDeck - download zip, from decky settings menu select a zip file to install (don't manually extract it as decky does some additional stuff to it)

I have fixed the issue regarding the MoonDeck removing the apps from the collection. You can check the latest nightly.

Will check if auto-sync is possible later.
