To clone, you will need to create an SSH key if you have not used github on your machine before. To do this:
- Follow the instructions to add a hardware security key: https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/connecting-to-github-with-ssh/generating-a-new-ssh-key-and-adding-it-to-the-ssh-agent#generating-a-new-ssh-key-for-a-hardware-security-key
- At the top of the page, select your operating system, either Windows, Mac, or Linux, then scroll down to "Generating a New SSH Key for a Hardware Security Key" (You will have to scroll past the section titled "Adding your SSH key to the ssh-agent")
- Add the key to your github account (This is the same link as the one at the bottom of the page): https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/connecting-to-github-with-ssh/adding-a-new-ssh-key-to-your-github-account
- At the top of the page, select your operating system, either Windows, Max, or Linux.
