[Feature Request]: Sleep Timer Reset via Headphone Button #477

Description

@rafaelkrysciak

Summary

Allow users to reset the sleep timer using a headphone media button (Bluetooth or wired), providing a low-effort alternative to the existing shake-to-reset gesture.

Problem

Shaking a phone in bed requires physical effort, finding the device in the dark, and unwanted movement right as the user is drifting off to sleep. A single headphone button click allows resetting the timer without moving or looking at a screen.

Proposed Flow

  1. Audio Warning: When 10–15 seconds remain on the sleep timer, play a subtle audio cue or fade out the volume.
  2. Button Intercept: During this grace period, pressing the headphone play/pause button resets the timer instead of stopping playback.
  3. Seamless Resume: Playback volume restores immediately, and the timer extends for the configured duration.

Settings Integration

Under Settings > Sleep Timer:

  • Reset Trigger: [ Shake ] | [ Headphone Button ] | [ Both ]
  • Reset Duration: Duration added per trigger (e.g., +15 min or Reset to original).
  • Warning Window: Length of the audio cue/fade period (e.g., 15 seconds).

Acceptance Criteria

  • Pressing the headphone button during the warning window resets the timer and restores volume.
  • Works alongside or independently of the existing shake-to-reset feature.
  • Retains standard media button behavior (play/pause) outside of the warning window.
  • Compatible with both Bluetooth and wired headset controls.
