The GUI looks incomplete and a little off. Adding this would make it a little better.

I'm not too fond of the big high score bar at the left anyway. It also takes a way precious space when playing a large board with big tiles. Maybe it should be integrated with the timer below.
It could be something like:

00:00            Level: Easy
                    Best time: 3:45

Big playing time, smaller level+best time
