Archipelago now has support for a HintGame tag, which if present in your tags indicates you are a hintgame. Adding this (probably instead of the HintGenerator tag you presently have) would currently give better join/leave messages (started hinting [GAME]/stopped hinting [GAME]), and possibly have more effects in the future (ex. allowing a host to disable hintgames for a multiworld)
