In the latest academic template, how to correctly display customized logos and icons in experience?

When I use the https://github.com/HugoBlox/theme-academic-cv to configure, I find that the logos and icons cannot be displayed when I created a new folder assets/media/icons/custom as in the tutorial and put the svg file in it

The Tailwind block is re-designed with modern Tailwind styles informed by user feedback. It can still be customised to look more similar to the Bootstrap version if you prefer, but requires knowledge of CSS: https://docs.hugoblox.com/reference/extend/#customize-style-css

Same problem, any update?
When putting .svg in the created /assets/media/icons/custom folder, and referencing it to icon: custom/--.svg I get no complaints on the hugo terminal, but no icon is shown in the site.

A contributor has now completed porting this feature from the Bootstrap framework to the new Tailwind styling framework, so you can now use custom Experience/Work logos in the newer templates too: #3282

To use,

1. ensure you are using a version in your go.mod from 2025-10-22 onwards
2. Upload your SVG-formatted logo (use an image converter if needed) to your assets/media/icons/brands/ folder (creating it if needed)
3. In your author profile (content/authors/admin/_index.md), create an icon option under your organizations or education item and point it to the desired logo you uploaded. For example, icon: 'brands/my_company' would display my_company.svg from your assets/media/icons/brands/ folder.
