I am currently working on automating the process of downloading rainfall data from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), which is available in NetCDF format. To achieve this, I am developing a Python script that integrates both the Vortex library and Jython.

The script takes rainfall data as input, along with parameters for the clipping extent and the desired projection, which needs to be compatible with the DSS (Data Storage System) format. However, I encounter an issue when I try to set the projection using the line 'targetWkt': WktFactory.create("UTM43N"). Including this specific command in the script causes an error.

For additional context, I am sharing both the Python script and the batch file used in the automation process.

@Gauravfouzdar it looks like you are mixing the functionality of the time-shifter with the importer. You are passing geoprocessing arguments which are a feature of the importer but not the time-shifter. Use the user-interface first to establish a workflow before attempting to script.

Also pointing out that you can pass the UTM 44 N WKT projection string if you don't trust WktFactory::create.

Given the GDAL error messages I suspect you have something with your environment misconfigured. I could also be a language setting, but not sure. You would need to verify whether you can achieve your desired workflow in the UI first, to rule out the possibility of a language setting interfering.
