Use this thread to nominate features or vote on existing ideas. We do read every reply.

How to nominate

Open a new discussion in Ideas (one feature per thread) and include:

• Problem — what user pain does it solve? Concrete scenario beats abstract wish-list.
• Audience — solo inspector? Multi-inspector firm? Realtor / agent? Self-hoster?
• Workaround you use today — helps us judge urgency.
• Optional: rough sketch of the UI or API you imagine.

Then come back here and link your discussion in a reply so other folks can find it.

What we are actively building

See open-inspection-todo.md for the live status. The big themes for the current sprint are:

• Pre-launch UI polish (Sprint 1, May 2026)
• Inspector-facing offline-first lifecycle (Spec B4)
• Self-built e-signature pipeline (Spec 5H)
• Comments-library unification (R46)

What we will not build

We try to keep the engine focused. A handful of things we have explicitly chosen NOT to ship:

• A built-in CRM that competes with InspectorHub (the SaaS overlay) — keep apps/core lean.
• Multi-tenant subdomain routing in the OSS edition — silo your own deployments instead.
• First-party iOS/Android apps — the PWA already works offline on every modern phone.
