Doesn't sync to audiobookshelf

I have been testing the bridge for a few days now. The synchronization from speech to text works great. Unfortunately, the opposite does not. Here in the log, you can see how it attempts to synchronize the position. However, Audiobookshelf does not synchronize it. Furthermore, the section that abs-kosync-bridge attempts to synchronize is also a few pages further than in Koreader.

A few things, but suspect this needs a little more debugging.

1. Can you make sure you are running the latest image (just to make sure we are troubleshooting the same)
2. Can you listen to the book further in and test?

There are some settings, which prevent looping by ignoring changes under 60s (audio) and 1% (eBook) by default.

The example you provided the progress of the book is still less than 1% so it is likely ignoring the progress.

I don't think this is the full issue, and I might add some more debugging around the booklore connection.

Heya @J-Lich I may make this a stand alone issue but figured I’d start here as I started going down the sync positioning rabbit hole. I added some extra logging and the text search to audio transcription matching seems to be working great, however the text from Koreader it uses to invoke the search match seems to be a few pages farther along than Koreader’s current page? Not sure if it’s how I have my sync setup and haven’t dug into how the koreader’s doc fragments work yet but wondering if it’s something along the lines of either pulling text from the end of that fragment instead of the beginning, or even the next fragment in the document? I also found that when syncing from KO to ABS, ABS was pretty consistently positioning about 5 minutes too far. Lmk if you have any thoughts on additional debugging steps I can do to pinpoint what’s causing the shift! Cool project btw.

Edit: with a bit more debugging it seems like there might be an issue with what text is chosen as the search term from the kosync segment.
