Solution for "Click button to change desktop" #48

@calfax

Description

@calfax

This functionality has been part of Unx/Lnux desktops since the early 1990's. It is also, intuitively, the way you would accomplish this task if you were not using keyboard shortcuts. Why Jaysce did not implement this function, I don't know. Mac brains think differently, I guess.

The solution has been provided by another user ruittenb who understood the assignment and has forked Spaceman. He has implemented this very obvious functionality. I can confirm that his fork does work on Mac Ventura.

Apparently MacOS can't render italic text in Chrome. Below is quoted text from his comment.

"User ruittenb posted a comment indicating the fix that is buried about half-way down the comments for issue #18. I have posted it here to make the solution more obvious.

_Using a workaround (with osascript), I've been able to make changes so that the requested functionality is available.
This is version v1.6.6, available in my fork https://github.com/ruittenb/Spaceman
Please read the installation instructions!

We have not heard from @Jaysce in a while, but I created a pull request in #37

Please note that I am not a Swift programmer, so there is probably a lot of room for improvement! Suggestions are welcome."

Jaysce, thank you for starting work on this but either merge ruittenb's solution and re-release a new version or mark your repo as deprecated and everyone move over to ruittenb's repo as his version actual does...what we need this program to do.

Yes. I have a bad attitude. No. You don't like my tone. No. I am not sorry. Die mad about it.
