Add colour selection to advanced options for dark trakt.

Seems a shame to setup all those vars and make the users dive into the css themselves anyways. On a similar note, maybe add option to replace all red episode numbers with another colour? its

Another little bug is that the search box flashes fff white when expanding from icon. Not sure if this is something you can affect or just something chrome does when animating.

Honestly the trakt.tv style is a complete mess and I'm planning on doing a complete re-write of it soonish (dunno when exactly as I'm pretty busy with a lot of things currently) and I'll actually make options to let people change the colour choices once I do so you won't have to go into the css to change things around and I can see about making an option for that as well with the re-write.

Yea I'm able to manipulate the white flash for the search box, when I was doing everything before I didn't dive deep enough into the search bar when I was writing that bit because it only does the flash for a split second and it's not a huge area so I didn't really look into if I could manipulate it at the time, so will be another thing I fix in the re-write. for now if you want to go ahead and add a temp fix on your side it's just

But anyways as I said a re-write is coming eventually that'll be a bit cleaner in the code and will have a bit more options (like allowing colours to be chosen) for a couple things.

Just for completeness this is the bit that controls the top bar selected items' red

The set cover thing is also red but beyond my meagre knowledge (it's red icon, red text and dark red hover). As a dirty workaround I just hid it (since we aren't theming VIP features anyway):

The reason I'm not hiding them at the moment is because I don't have an option for VIP people, and I don't want to hide options for people who are VIP just because I'm not VIP.

I see, but can you expose their colours then? Also on a broader note imo you should either round all rectangles or remove rounding from posters (I've done the latter for myself). Atm it clashes a bit with the heavier episode names.

Yea I found it, I am just tired haha so I wasn't looking hard enough xD but again, idk when I'm going to get to actually being able to do a re-write tbh, I'm super busy as is lately so I don't have a whole lot of time to work on styles + various other projects that I've been messing with. So at the moment I can't really promise any timeframe on updates for trakt but I'll get to it when I can, even if it's slow going.

The top bar, the one that sticks at the top of the page when scrolling and has tv movies calendar etc.: I have changed the colour of the active category, but when hovering over the others they still turn red.

I want to know are you against the colour red or something? lol a lot of text and stuff that are still red are indications that they are either links / current active button / what you are currently mousing over (only a couple buttons have a different form of colour)..

in my re-write they will be able to be colourable through options, a lot of stuff that I currently am missing in my trakt style will actually be styled, but you can easily colour them yourself if you want. for some stuff you may need to add a !important to the css.

Nice one, and yeah, I like blue for accents in dark mode, just my preference. AFAIK there is no harm in adding !important to everything in userstyles, is there? Just for consistency.

Ah gotcha, and no there is no harm in adding !important to everything, it's just not a good behavior to resort to using !important for things (as it could be seen as just lazy practice) but sometimes it's necessary especially for things like what stylish/stylus and such do.

@WildGenius So just an update, I have slowly started working on re-writing my trakt.tv style, but I can't say when it will be done nor can I promise that it'll be done before the end of the year. What I can promise though is that it'll have a lot more customization to it compared to the current version that is out to the public. As it stands currently the version that is out the public is as is (no more updates) until I finish my re-write.

@WildGenius Okay so here is the deal, with some thought for the past week at the current rate of working on my theme and wanting this theme to be as customizable as possible, I just don't think I'm going to be able to make it possible without a ton of extensive work. There is just so many different layers of things to take into account and have to work around due to how the trakt site css is coded and I've had to re-do my wip stylesheet several times over behind the scenes trying to get things to work.

I do still plan on re-writing the trakt theme, along with fixing up my other themes a little bit as well but I'm just not going to be able to make it as customizable as I previously wanted to.. Sorry!

You are free to take my theme (either the old one or the one I'm working on now once I finish it up) and add onto it/change things/do whatever (and even release your version if you want to)
