Clicking on "Set looking glass view to match reference view." has no effect

For the "Rendering" field, when "OnlyWhenRequested" is selected, I don't know how to request a render. I tried the "Set looking glass view to match reference view." button, but that doesn't seem to do anything

Set LKG to match reference view" icon next to LKG icon doesn't seem to do anything (image below) - as well as the button underneath the "Update rate" in the LookingGlass module panel
