compiling nodejs

Hello

I've a very simple app. It reads from a DB and populates some custom fields in cards/LeanKit.
I'm struggling compiling the app.I've tried pkg and nexe .... no luck.

Do you have any suggestions?

I just verified I was able to create a simple CLI app with the LeanKit client and compile it to a standalone app using nexe with the latest version of Node.js on macOS. What error are you running into? Are you running on Windows, macOS, or Linux?

Hi Dave I really appreciate your quick response. I’m running on Win 10 64. I have no UI Also I use node-adodb. The error I’m getting are Error: Spawn C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\cscript.exe error Not sure how to add the dependencies . They are listed in package.json and save in node_modules. My apologies this is my first nodejs…. Yes, I believe the node-adodb module is the issue. Sometimes compiling dependencies causes an error. I recommend you use mssql instead. I just created a simple project on Windows 10 with leankit-node-client and mssql, and I was able to compile to an exe using nexe.

Hi Camelia,

I just tested creating an exe on Windows with node-adodb, and it appears to have worked. So, it might mean you're missing some native compile support tools on Windows. You can try installing windows-build-tools from a command prompt with elevated privileges (as administrator) and see if that helps.

npm install -g windows-build-tools

You may need to install Python 2.x, as well. Be sure to have it added to your PATH, and you may need to restart your command prompt.
