GBX2?

Hi there,

any clues on integrating with the GBX2 board? My theory is getting into the WIFI UART pins, but I have no clue if that would work.

@ebfio, Thanks for reaching out. Short answer, I don't know. 😄 but it looks promising. Are there any markings on the other side of the board for the 5 pins between the WIFI UART and 24VDC?

For what it's worth I used a Digilent Analog Discovery 2 USB Oscilloscope and Logic Analyzer to initially determine/confirm the pins on my board.

Looks like those five pins at the middle/bottom are the for the keypad..

Does your board have the ESP Wifi Module on the front?

The WIFI UART pins seem most promising, is an Analog Discovery something that you could get a hold of and do you feel comfortable using it?

@LelandSindt I'll get one and play around with it. And yes, mine has the ESP. Maybe I should just flash the ESP32 there.... hmmmm 😄

@ebfio did you make any progress on this? --- another idea might be to get one of these.. https://www.adafruit.com/product/4364 and "see if it works..." you would want to find ground and +5v with a multi meter, if they line up its might be worth a shot..

I never did hear anything from @ebfio --- probe with a multi meter and then take your chances with an FTDI adapter... should be fairly safe... or... if you want splurge... on a logic analyzer... 🤷

I just got a new filter installed inside my basement 😄 So testing shall resume in a few days!
