Adding higher frequencies to radio via CPS

I have changed the firmware of one of my radios to the latest "DM32_01_02_046_mod_136_279MHz_280_520MHz_23_136MHz_avia_step25kHz" and I am receiving all of the frequencies great (I'm using a list that I had made for a different radio in CHiRP, then loaded it into CPS, which is how I got my higher 480+MHz frequencies on the radio). I went to add a few more, but I noticed that in CPS if I try to type in the frequency above what is usually allowed (say 481.0) it reverts back and won't let me add it in. Has anyone figured out a way to add the new frequencies into CPS?

The CPS gathers the limits from the radio itself.
You have to go to your radio's Scan menu while under VFO mode, change VFO Scan Range (V) to 136-173 and VFO Scan Range (U) to 220-520, lastly do a read from radio.
Your CPS will now update its information to allow those frequencies. If you also want to enable 300 MHz, you can enable TX and RX via Embedded Information, password is 374612

Thanks for that, I have enabled all of the frequencies on embedded information. When I change my VFO scan range (U) to 220-520, it just says "Invalid!" And reverts back. My VFO scan range B is set to 136-174.

If under VFO mode I manually type in say 483.000, it goes there no problem, just can't seem to set the parameters to allow me to type it into CPS

your firmware file says 280_520MHz perhaps you'd have to type 280 instead of 220

OK that worked in the radio, changing the VFO scan (U) to 280-520 allows it to be locked in on the radio. Unfortunately CPS still doesn't allow me to input frequencies higher than 470.

I plug the radio in, read it on CPS, click add to add a new channel, and type in 483.0000. As soon as I press enter or click out of the box, it reverts to 400.000

try going to optional features first after read, check if the VFO Scan is set correctly, you might need to edit that as well.
