reading failed during first download

hey guy's,

everytime when i want to download the stock config from the new radio the progress bar is going to 3/4, and then the cps says "reading failed".

firmware update to dm32.01.L01.048 done,
factory reset, done
reinstalling the driver done,
reinstalling the cps, done
tried cps 1.41, 1.45, 1.50
tried a 2 nd radio, same problem
also tried 3 programming cables

win 11 22h2
driver from the baofeng homepage

the cps only works with 115200 baud not with 256000 like in the manual.

i tried googleing the problem, but nothing worked, does anybody got the same problem or got a solution for this?

this is new to me.
Have you tried from the radio with the OpenUV008?

Nope, only the stock firmware, cause if i cant get the radio to dump the codeplug from factory, then ill maybe softbrick it with an other fw?

You don't have to flash it with another firmware, you just use it to read the entire data from the memory chip and save it as a binary image file.
doing so is recommended more than simply the CPS as the CPS doesn't save the device specific key, which will brick your radio if corrupted or accidentally wiped.

it does take time, but if it fails in the middle, you'd still be fine since it was just reading and no flashing.
However, that is indicative of a hardware issue. But since your device works normally (I'm guessing), it honestly could just be a malfunctioning SMD capacitor, or something similar.

I meant to say to read from the radio using the OpenUV008

Oh no i didn't try Read it with OpenUV008.

Yeah i know i can't brick it while reading, i thought you mean write a different firmware, i will try reading it with the software a litte later
