Ping doesn't work for some hosts

Strange case with status check.
I have added several pages from the same local domain (all hosts behing traefik reverse proxy), yet one shows offline status - it doesn't even get yellow like other (which are trully offline) - for this one it just goes instantly red. Not sure how can I check the reason.

Interestingly that failing host is the host OS on which I have docker (on which I have ThinkDashboard).
Checked from console via portainer that ThinkDashboard can ping it properly.

Any suggestions ?

I added a new method to ping services in v0.6.9 that should work better than the previous one.

Could you give it a try and let me know how it goes?

I did update, I see new commands, but the ping still fails.

Can you check if the console shows anything? (F12)

Hmm, and in the browser console? (once the ping fails, it should say something in the DevTools with F12) if you're in the dashboard

It doesn't mention that host. This is a screenshot right after page refresh - OpenMediaVault is instantly in red color while others are being pinged

Can you try this from the docker console of the app: curl "http://localhost:8080/api/ping?url=https://example.com" (remplace example.com with your URL)

Interesting, can you check if that specific bookmarks has http/https in the url in /config#bookmarks?

it has https:// just like almost any other service you see on my list - they go through traefik reverse proxy (also on 192.168.1.4 port 80)

OpenMediaVault sits on http://192.168.1.4:81 but since I go through traefik - it's https://omv....

Interestingly, when I added that server 3 more times:
http://192.168.1.4
https://192.168.1.4
http://192.168.1.4:81

their status is all green

Hmm, right now I have no clue on what could be happening.

I'll try to check the code and see if I can add some debug for the next update

There is a new option to disable fast ping check in /config#general, maybe you can try to enable it and see if those bookmarks now shows the status correctly
