Using a custom error struct?

Hi,

Just started using this in tauri-v2 and I love it. Question that I haven't managed to figure out myself, would it be possible to send an error struct back to Javascript, so you get a TypeScript-typed dictionary back on the Javascript side? I've played around with struct and serialisers, but haven't managed to do it yet. My backup plan would be to send an error string as a JSON document, but I didn't manage to serde_json the struct. And a big thank you for creating this, let me know if I could buy you a beer or two via something (Paypal?)

Hi, I'm glad to hear that you like this project. As for your question, right now errors are handled the same way tauri does it (docs). These errors work if they have serde::Serialize implemented and are just thrown on the frontend. However, the problem is that we don't generate TS-types for these errors. I have already thought about solving this by creating a custom Result type that will be parsed and typed on the frontend. I haven't fully tried this out yet, but I got something working.

If I understand your question correctly, you could add an error field as an Option.
