Precompile issues with Postgres

I have a package that uses both LibPQ and FunSQL. I am using the documented procedure to interface.

When the package tried to precompile, these statements cause it to error as described here and here. People more knowledgeable than I call it a form of type piracy.

Is there something I can do to allow my package to precompile?
