“Failed: ingest 422: Open WebUI could not extract 'PLCProgramming.pdf'. The PDF may be corrupt, password‑protected, or have no extractable text/images. If the file is valid, retry from the uploads list — the extractor may have hit a transient error.”
The banner shows Retry/Cancel buttons but the upload remains in a failed state.
Evidence
- Screenshot/text from the page shows the banner with Retry/Cancel.
- The upload ID remains with status parsing/failed and does not progress to completed.
- This blocks visibility of that manual and may indicate a broader ingest pipeline problem.
Suggested Fix
- Investigate why this specific PDF repeatedly fails (corrupt, password, extraction issue).
- Either fix the root cause (e.g., pre‑process PDF, handle passwords) or allow manual override/delete from the UI.
- Improve error messaging to guide the user.
